doula: a trusted birth companion who provides emotional, physical and non-medical support to birthing women & their partners. Although I have limited availability here, I highly recommend having a doula to support you and your family at this precious time. I can refer you on to a beautiful community of local birth workers on request.
Pregnancy is a magical & powerful time for you, your changing body & your growing baby.
I have deep reverence for the mighty thresholds of pregnancy & birth and have gathered many tools for my kit over the years to soothe & tend birthing mamas. I have a passion for this work ~ I see amazing & profound benefits in the women who engage in regular pregnancy massage in my clinic. In 2024 I upskilled at a practitioner training with the pioneer of this modality, Catherine McInerney ~ Director & Founder of Pregnancy Massage Australia®. This training was powerful, initiatory and consolidating.
I have personally experienced a broad spectrum of all things fertility pregnancy & birth:
~ irregular cycle, suspected infertility, miscarriage, an unplanned c-section & finally an uninterrupted, dreamy water birth at home ~
I’ve done a lot of deep inner work to heal & integrate these huge times in my life, and this is the root of my passion.
I am confident that I can hold space for you.
It is my honour to serve birthing women.
“Flic's pregnancy massages in the lead-up to my labour & birth were not only an essential part of easing my aching muscles & ligaments, they also became the most nourishing mental and emotional hug.
Flic created a sacred, safe & held space with her amazing skill, words, knowledge & support both before & during the massage.
This helped with my pregnancy insomnia and allowed my racing, prepping mind to just let go and trust in my body.
Can't recommend Flic's massages enough as part of birth prep and beyond!”

+The Gentle Art of Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy massage is a tender ritual of care, offering comfort to the body and calm to the mind. Together we tend aching muscles, soothe the nervous system and encourage loving connection with your beautiful baby.
It is my honour to support you with nurturing and therapeutic pregnancy massage from the first trimester and beyond. Many women experience some form of musculoskeletal discomfort during pregnancy as bodies changes and babies grow. The spectrum can be broad, from generalised aches and pains to symptoms are that quite debilitating.
Experience relief & deep relaxation as you soften into a full body pregnancy massage.
We will use support from the Denton’s pregnancy belly pillow in a side-lying position: safe and soothing for mum and bub.
Specialised treatment for pregnancy related pelvic-girdle pain (PrPGP) helps to relieve discomfort in the lower back and buttocks, the front of pelvis or the groin and provides a welcome respite for tired, sore or cramping legs.
+The Gifts of Pregnancy Massage
Ease for Body and Soul:
Soothing hands melt away the tension held in tired muscles — from aching backs to cramping legs and sore hips. Pain softens, the body breathes, and rest returns.
Circles of Life, Flowing Freely:
Massage encourages healthy circulation, bringing fresh nourishment to mother and child. It eases swelling in feet and ankles, calms nerve pain like sciatica, and supports veins working overtime.
A Quiet Mind, a Peaceful Heart:
As stress melts and anxiety fades, relaxation blossoms. Pregnancy massage helps still the mind and open the heart, nurturing a loving bond between mother and baby.
Lifting the Spirit, Welcoming Sleep:
By stirring the body's natural mood enhancers — endorphins and serotonin — massage lightens emotional heaviness. Discomfort eases, allowing restful, restorative sleep to unfold.
Lightness in the Limbs:
Stimulating the lymphatic flow, massage helps clear away excess fluid, gently reducing swelling and fluid retention — particularly in the legs and ankles.
Preparing the Body for Birth:
Relaxed muscles, balanced posture, and calm breath form a foundation for labour. Massage helps the body open and soften, readying it for the sacred work ahead — a smoother path into birth.
Posture and Poise:
As the body shifts to carry new life, massage helps realign posture, supporting the changing curves and relieving the strain of this transformation.
Moments of Deep Connection:
Beyond physical relief, massage offers a quiet space — an invitation to connect deeply with your baby. In stillness and touch, a mother’s heart opens wide, forming the first bonds of love.
